Northern Institute would like to extend an open invite to their annual International Women’s Day Event on Friday 6th March from 9:30-12pm at Mal Mairn, CDU.

Chancellor Sally Thomas, who has supported this annual event since it’s inaugural           breakfast in 2011, will be opening the event. Honourable Bess Nungarrayi Price MLA,     Minister of Women’s Policy, will be providing the keynote.
The 2015 theme for International Women’s Day is ‘Make it Happen’ and will include             prominent Indigenous women, including leading researchers, will present their stories and work ‘on country’. This years event focuses on encouraging young Indigenous women to       consider a carer in research.

Morning tea will be available and information booths will be available including Northern Institute, Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods, Australian Centre for Indigenous Knowledges & Education and School of Indigenous Knowledge & Public Policy for those seeking further information on a career in research.
